Don’t give repression a chance!

On the 1st July 2017 a new prostitution Act gets implemented. From then on you have to go to compulsory consultations. That will lead to forced outings and you will get investigated, centrally registered, more checked and more sanctioned. From now on you are allowed to work only with a prostitution pass, which you have to carry on you at all times. Doctors, police, local authority employees and brothel operators – they are all allowed henceforth to check your prostitution pass with includes your passport photograph!

Don’t accept this Act without resistance! You don’t have to be idle and watch how your daily life is determent by harassment, stigmatization and deprivation of your rights.

Through common action we can overturn this disgraceful new Act by using its own methods on a legal way. Just take the two recommendations by Doña Carmen to heart and put them into operation:

1. 11.000 municipalities

According to the Act you have to register for prostitution activity at the local authority and also name every place, where you are planning to work. These places have to be written down into your prostitution pass. Following, every place has to be informed about that as well.

We suggest: Fulfill your legal duties entirely! Hand over the list of all 11.000 German municipalities at your registration. You can find the list for printing on the website of Doña Carmen e.V.: www.donacarmen.de.

2. Pseudonym: „Alice Schwarzer“

You have the right to use a pseudonym for your prostitution pass that you can chose freely by yourself. We suggest: Draw on this Right! But not just anyone, it is important that everybody chooses the same pseudonym!

The consequences: If every forth sex worker joins the campaign and names 11.000 German municipalities as future places of work, the local authority has to

► make more than 550 million entries in your prostitution pass!
► send above 25 million emails to your future places of work!
► fulfill all in all 50 million administration acts!

If everyone chooses the same pseudonym „Alice Scharzer or rather „Ali Schwarzer“, there will be

► a complete chaos with passing on your data and with police controls. And that’s exactly what we want! The demotion of sex workers to objects of surveillance has to stop as well as the harassment through constant police controls.

The politicians, who created the new Act, have to take the responsibility for all these problems. They are the ones to blame.

By the way: No local authority can deny you the prostitution pass because of your actions. Because they are obliged by § 5 of the Act to hand out your prostitution pass after five workdays.
